Specialist Areas:
Depression, anxiety/stress, panic attacks, relationship or work-related difficulties, anger and OCD. Also, helping people to come to terms with inappropriate actions, such as road rage, violence, abuse, paedophilia and cheating.

 
 


Appointments:
Hugh offers evening and weekend appointments, as well as during normal working hours, and home visits where severe agoraphobia is the client's concern.

Further Information:
As well as his Human Givens Diploma, Hugh has a Certificate and Diploma in General Counselling, but he has been practising human givens therapy exclusively since 2002
. He helps with all forms of emotional distress, and also has experience of working with sexual abuse survivors.

In a human givens therapy session with Hugh, he focuses on the real current issues in your life and making you feel better immediately. He will explain to you, in clear, easy-to-understand ways, reasons why you feel and behave the way you do and you will leave understanding what you need to do to feel better still. You will also learn new skills and techniques to help you to do so, and to better manage your feelings so that you can take back control of your life.

Practice Location:
Hugh's private practice is at: 19 Walnut Lane, Hartford, Cheshire, CW8 1QN (map), which many people find it easy to travel to from Manchester, Liverpool and North Wales for appointments.

  • Greater Manchester — 45 minutes by car from the Town Hall, or by train from Manchester Piccadilly, with collection by Hugh.
  • Wilmslow, Hale, Sale, Altrincham, Urmston — all within 20-30 minutes by car.
  • Liverpool — 45 minutes by car or 20 minutes by train, with collection by Hugh.
  • Chester — 25 minutes by car or 20 minutes by train, with collection by Hugh.
