GENERAL:

Associate Member

Eligibility:
Open to anyone who is interested in, or keen to support and be part of, the development and spread of the human givens insights and approach.

Benefits:
• Receive the biannual Human Givens journal
• Access to the HGI's online members forum
• Free membership of ETSI (the European Therapy Studies Institute)
• HGI website resource
• Invite to annual conference and any other special HGI-hosted events.

Annual Fee:
£60.00 for UK members
£68.00 for Overseas members (additional fee covers extra postage costs)

HG PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES:

There are three grades of membership for successful graduates of the Human Givens Diploma course, as follows:

Graduate Member (GHGI)

Eligibility:
Open to anyone who has completed and passed Parts I and II of the Human Givens Diploma Course.
(Although not therefore a fully-qualified HG therapist, most Graduate Members will be working towards taking their Post-Graduate HG Diploma which qualifies them to work as a human givens therapist and therefore become a Registered Member of the HGI.)

Benefits:
• Receive the biannual Human Givens journal
• Access to both HGI online forums (general and practitioners')
• Personalised 'hgtherapy.eu' email forwarding address
• HGI website resource; including access to the secure HG Professional Members' Area and its various resources
• May use the letters GHGI after their academic qualifications
• Free membership of ETSI (the European Therapy Studies Institute)
• Invite to annual conference and any other special HGI-hosted events
• Certificate of membership (renewed annually)

Requirements:
• Agreement to HGI ethics policy
• Agreement to HGI professional conduct policy
• Completion of annual Continuous Professional Development and submission of CPD record card and Supervision requirement
If also in private practice:
• Professional indemnity insurance (copy of current certificate)
• Written confirmation of your CRB certificate (if relevant) indicating level of disclosure.

 

Annual Fee:
£90.00 for UK graduate members
£98.00 for overseas graduate members (additional fee covers extra postage costs) Ê

Registered Member (MHGI)

Eligibility:
Open to HG.Dip. graduates who have passed the Post Graduate Practitioner's Assessment (Part III) of the Human Givens Diploma Course and is therefore, by having demonstrated their practical competence, fully qualified to practise as a human givens therapist or counsellor and appear on the HGI's Professional Register.

Benefits:
• Registered HG Practitioner Status
• Individual page (with name, contact information, specialist areas, biographical details, optional location map, and full biographical details) included on the HGI Official Register of approved Human Givens Practitioners
• Receive the biannual Human Givens journal
• Access to both HGI online forums (general and practitioners')
• Personalised 'hgtherapy.eu' email forwarding address
• HGI website resource
• Access to the secure HG Professional Members' Area — includes various resources, such as practical advice, essential information and helpful downloads for anyone starting up in private practice, latest news, job opportunities etc.
• May use the letters MHGI after their academic qualifications
• Free membership of ETS (the European Therapy Studies Institute)
• Invite to annual conference and any other special HGI-hosted events
• Invites to attend one-off HG.Dip. Graduate Training Days
• Certificate of membership (renewed annually)

Requirements:
• Agreement to uphold HGI ethical standards
• Agreement to HGI professional conduct policy
• Completion of annual Continuous Professional Development and submission of CPD record card and Supervision requirement
If also in private practice:
• Professional indemnity insurance (copy of current certificate)
• Written conffirmation of your CRB certificate (if relevant) indicating level of disclosure.

Fellow (FHGI)

Eligibility:
The Institute has the power to elect as a Fellow a Graduate or Registered Member who has also made a distinctive contribution to human givens studies or its teaching or application.

• May use the letters FHGI after their academic qualifications
• Receive the biannual Human Givens journal
• Access to HGI online forum
• Personalised 'hgtherapy.eu' email forwarding address
• HGI website resource
• Free membership of ETSI (the European Therapy Studies Institute)
• Invite to annual conference and any other special HGI-hosted events
• Invites to attend one-off HG.Dip. Graduate Training Days
• Certificate (renewed annually)

If also in private practice:
• Registered HG Practitioner Status

• Access to practitioners' HGI online forum

Requirements of continuing Fellowship:
• Agreement to uphold HGI ethical standards
• Agreement to HGI professional conduct policy

If also in private practice:
• Completion of annual Continuous Professional Development and submission of CPD record card (proposed requirements are currently under review) and Supervision requirement
• Professional indemnity insurance (copy of current certificate)
• Written conffirmation of your CRB certificate (if relevant) indicating level of disclosure

Annual Fee:
£90.00 for UK graduate members
£98.00 for overseas graduate members (additional fee covers extra postage costs)


Honorary Member

Honorary Memberships may also be awarded for outstanding contributions to the field.
