Further Information:
As a Human Givens therapist. I use various supportive skills helping people identify and understand their unmet needs, empowering them to strengthen their own resources, so they are better equipped to resolve their current problem and deal with any difficult life events that may arise in the future.

Effective counselling always depends on how attuned the therapist is to the client and for that reason I offer a half-hour introduction for £10 if you wish to establish that there is an appropriate rapport before you commit
to a full counselling session.

Many problems such as excessive anxiety, anger, low self esteem and relationship issues are related to past events and there are specific techniques which are usually very effective enabling the client to leave
the past behind and become more confident and able to manage their current problem as well as life in general. These are particularly helpful
for panic attacks and PTSD.

After qualifying as a Registered Nurse I travelled and was employed as
a nurse in America and Australia. On returning to England I trained as an Occupational Health Advisor, working in a corporate environment, advising and educating employees and managers on physical and emotional health. I eventually moved into HR running training workshops on self development and helping managers with stress and work/life balance in an increasingly pressured work environment.

Counselling has always been a major part of my role and in 2008 I
worked as a counsellor for MIND helping many people with a wide range of problems. Since 1997 I have attended Human Givens workshops and found this innovative approach to be very effective most people can be helped in 6 sessions.

I currently work part time in palliative care and for the CRUSE bereavement service. My private practice is in Shepperton 40 minutes by train from Waterloo and one and a half miles from the M3 Jctn 1.
