Further Information:
After completing her A-levels in the UK, Marieke returned to The Netherlands where she did her medical degree in Leiden. She specialises in rehabilitation. The driving forces during her entire career have been her need for real contact with people and her fascination with the workings of the human brain. In her own practice, she now works with adults and children who have stagnated in the educational system or at work; whose health or relationships are poor. Alongside this, Marieke works as a "clown" therapist in the health service.

Marieke finds her views continuously confirmed in her practical experience; where people trust to learn their own wisdom and qualities, they will be able to find fitting personal answers to the demands and changes brought about by life.

She has two daughters and her husband is a furniture maker. In her spare time she likes walking her dog, playing tennis and yoga.

(Marieke's consultations are reimbursed by many leading Dutch health insurance schemes.)
