Further Information:

I am an integrative therapist, using a wide variety of counselling skills and approaches to empower the client to recover from their issues. I have over seven years' experience working as a counsellor and project coordinator, specialising in addictions and mental health.

In addition to completing the Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Givens Psychotherapy, I have completed a Master's in counselling. I am also trained in EMDR, Solutions-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and CBT. I integrate these varying techniques and philosophies into a coherent approach, brought together by the Human Givens organising idea of innate emotional needs and resources.

I work presently at Hartlepool Mind, a community wellbeing centre dedicated to enabling recovery and steeped in the ethos of Human Givens therapy. I coordinate our alcohol service and provide structured therapy with clients with a broad range of presenting issues. In addition to addictions these include anxiety, depression, anger control, stress management, PTSD and sub-threshold trauma, and sleep difficulties.

I have a purpose-built office in my garden as my practice. I am willing to travel to see clients, when necessary. I have up-to-date CRB disclosure and take referrals from all appropriate sources, including self-referrals.
