About me

With a background in the creative arts and a long career in teaching dance and Pilates, I have always been passionate about encouraging people to overcome difficulties and achieve their goals in all areas of life. Now, working with the Human Givens approach has given me the structure to do this more effectively.

Human Givens therapy is an innovative, modern, and solution focused approach. It incorporates the latest findings in psychology and neuroscience, and provides a practical framework for achieving clear thinking, problem solving and emotional wellbeing.

Awareness of where we are on the mental health continuum, depending on the amount of stress we are experiencing, is important. Learning to identify and use our strengths and resources effectively, is essential for finding balance in our emotional and physical wellbeing.

Testimonials

‘Thank you so much for equipping me with a good emotional toolkit … I feel I could fly!’

Journalist - Guernsey

‘I felt we had a clear purpose for each session, as well as reviewing what I had achieved since the last one. It’s important to have a therapist you feel a connection with and Julie’s kind and supportive but “no nonsense” approach suited me 100%.’

Self-employed in PR

‘The therapy was helpful from the start. The steady encouragement and guidance I received from Julie along the way, allowed me to let go of the upsets of the past, and focus on what I could change rather than what I couldn’t.’

Retired teacher - Guernsey
