About me

I have been working in the mental health field for more than 20 years in numerous capacities including management. My work has included developing and delivering services across a range of mental health experiences from preventative support to crisis support for those with severe and enduring mental health diagnosis. I work with individuals and groups of all ages.

My passion is to empower people to envisage the life they desire and to create a pathway to achieve it. There may be obstacles to overcome, traumas to leave behind, new patterns of behaviours to learn, addictions to absolve, mental health experiences to manage or skills to develop.

Working from the Human Givens framework is fast, brief and effective in helping people return to a healthy sense of wellness. It enables me to work in partnership with a client to see where their life is not working well and to tailor solutions for each individual. It is a talking therapy, that uses a combination of up-to-date, effective techniques, that includes effective psychological interventions, education and direct practical help, as appropriate.

I am also qualified to facilitate ‘Just What We Need programmes’ – a 12-session programme based on sound human givens principles which uses fun activities and exercises to support individuals to achieve a healthy mental wellbeing.

I also have a clear DBS check.

Testimonials

I feel very fortunate to have had Kerry work with me. Over the last months I have felt a significant change in my mood and how I rationalise situations. The methods that especially helped me are the rewind; understanding how the brain works and having someone with experience to answer any questions I had. I always felt that there was a professional relationship, allowing me to feel safe, which in turn allowed me to be open and honest. Moving forward I feel a sense of relief knowing that there is help if I ever need it and it is effective. I am grateful for all the help I have received.

Paramedic - trauma, depression

My sessions with Kerry have really been pivotal for me making and succeeding through some important life changes that would have before seen me incapacitated!

Humanitarian worker - Current and childhood trauma, anxiety, relationships

It's changed my life completely! Social anxiety, addiction and ruminations all now a distant memory. The rewind and two paths meditations were incredible. It's ok to be scared of it, nothing bad will come out of someone trying to help you. It's not traumatic just peaceful and kind of joyous. Don't doubt yourself any longer, you deserve some help in this crazy world.
