About me
‘Life is hard’, a saying universally recognised, and we can all find it useful to talk things through from time to time. Often it’s talking things through that makes all the difference.
Since my teenage years I’ve been interested in trying to understand why people do the things they do, listening to people’s dreams and fears and have long held a compassionate desire to help people find a more helpful way of looking at things or getting to where they want. Studying psychology and the positive, effective approach of Human Givens therapy brought these into focus and gave a more informed way of helping people with an infinite variety of concerns and difficulties which arise from the many ways stress, relationships, trauma and life in general can take their toll. Everyone has their own strengths and resources and it is gratifying to help people explore these and find just the ones they need to help them through a difficult time. Life may be hard, but there’s always a way to make it easier.
I work at the York Human Givens Wellbeing Centre on Mondays and Fridays and offer both face to face and online sessions.
