Cath has established her therapy practice in the centre of Edinburgh. She has expertise in applying Human Givens in an organisational setting as well as for individuals as she also works developing and delivering experiential Senior Leadership courses for healthcare organisations. She has enhanced CRB disclosure.
Cath’s interest in working with people began many years ago when she used outdoor activities for personal development with young offenders. She was commissioned as a Reserve officer and carried out military service, both full and part time. During this time, she became a mountaineering and climbing instructor, developing an interest in the management of stress and development of resilience. Whilst later training adults dealing with young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, she came across the Human Givens model and was impressed with it’s practical and solution focussed approach to helping people achieve effective, rapid freedom from distress. She completed her training in 2014, having already gained experience of dealing with clients suffering from trauma, both civilian and military, phobias, addictions, anxiety and stress.
