Testimonials

Insomnia
I was having only four to five hours’ sleep a night for the last 14 years. This all changed five months ago. I was recommended to Simon at Cleartalking who transformed my sleeping pattern. Through talking about my issues and simple but effective tasks and skills, my sleep has improved greatly. I now have six to seven hours’ sleep most nights and feel so much better for it.
Highly recommended.

Arachnophobia
I had three sessions with Simon, regarding a severe issue with arachnophobia. I was literally off the scale with a deep rooted fear of these things. If I was to score my fear from one to 10, I would have been at a 1000.

Client

After an initial consultation and the three sessions I am now completely dialled down from this phobia and can very comfortably deal with the pesky things when I see them. They are never going to be a creature that I like, however, I can be in the same room as them and I can get rid of them without panicking, having to get someone else to deal with them, or leaving the house until someone gets home to deal with it. This is certainly not something I could do prior to my sessions with Simon.
I feel as though these sessions have been life changing. I cannot recommend him enough.

When I initially spoke to Simon on the phone, one of the first questions he asked me was the following. “On a scale 1-10, 1 being the best you’ve ever felt, where would you place yourself at the moment based on how you’re feeling”. My immediate answer was a 9. It was official, in my mind I had hit rock bottom.

I met with Simon the following day and I knew that he was here to help. I was well aware that my issues weren’t going to be solved overnight, but I trusted that Simon was going to help me reach a point where I wasn’t just coping, but thriving.

A number of sessions later and I am a completely different person. Simon gave me the tools to help calm down the noise in my head and to change my inner dialogue. Not only did Simon help me to understand why I was feeling the way I was, he helped me to create a structure of rituals that allowed me to keep the noise in my head to a minimum. These rituals have allowed me to better manage my own thoughts and feelings and have pivoted my baseline of anxiety and low mood from an 8 or a 9 to a 1 or a 2. I feel like I can breathe again!

Simon is one of the most understanding and caring therapists that I have met. He encourages you to be your best, before you even know what your best is, because he believes in you from the start. If you’re thinking about contacting Simon - do it. Picking up the phone and asking for help is the hardest part, but I promise you it is worth it.
Did I cry writing this? Yes. Were they happy tears? Yes. Am I proud of myself? Double yes. Am I one VERY grateful human being? Triple yes.

Thank you will never be enough.
