Tanya Green

Tanya lives in a quiet village setting with a private therapy room within her home. Parking onsite is available. Tanya has run her complementary health clinic from home for 30 years and is experienced in providing a private and confidential service to her clients and patients.

She qualified 30 years ago in holistic body massage, aromatherapy and reflexology, and then become a yoga teacher. Having seen many clients over the years for what they had considered to be just physical pain, she realized that sometimes physical bodywork wasn't enough to give relief from their symptoms and that these clients often had emotional issues too, and for them their pain would return. She realized when she experienced the Human Givens approach to counselling and psychotherapy that the missing connection to solving deep held body trauma could be found, in their simple organizing idea of working out what emotional needs were not being met in balance, discussing a strategy for getting those needs met, and rehearsing the outcome. She watched again and again old pain and body trauma being released in her clients and a renewed freedom returning.

She specializes in the mind/ body connection but also has experience of working with anxiety and depression in teenagers, young adults, adults and the elderly, and has a special interest in Obsessive Compulsive Disorders and connected behaviour. She holds the Human Givens Diploma in counselling and psychotherapy.
