Taking on new supervisees

About me

With each supervisee, I tailor supervision to meet your needs as a practitioner, and ensure you have a space in which you are comfortable to share ideas, discuss any ethical concerns that arise and develop your understanding and application of the Human Givens organising ideas.

With trainee therapists and newly qualified practitioners, supervision is combined with a teaching/mentoring role. I work in a supportive and structured way and with trainees, provide you with full details of the criteria that you will be assessed on in Part 3, a supervision tracker, so that we will both be able keep track of your clients and your needs arising from those interactions.

With more experienced peers, supervision often takes the form of in-depth discussions of more complex cases. I will offer CPD and book recommendations arising from these discussions as necessary.

All supervisees will have a Supervision Agreement which you will be able to contribute to as necessary.

Finding the right supervisor to support your practice is an important step, so I would encourage perspective supervisees to request an initial conversation free of charge, in order that we can see that working together feels right. If you’re interested in having supervision with me, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Testimonials

"I value my sessions with Tricia very much. I always feel heard, understood and supported i.e. I come away having any questions/concerns I might have, well answered and I always learn something new to add to my own skill set."

HG Trainee

"The session was useful in reflecting on how to support clients with suicidal tendencies in the here and now as well as clients that have attempted suicide earlier in their life. The suggestion of using a time line to identify past negative events as well as positive events to give a clear picture of past trauma's and the clients resources to help re-frame their view on life was also helpful."

Experienced HG Psychotherapist

"I benefit from the useful advice offered, I enjoy the feedback, and I find it very helpful to cover individually each client and summarise the therapy given"
