About me

I am a mature and experienced counsellor using the Human Givens Solution Focused approach and specialising in anxiety and trauma. I can help you recognise your strengths and resources, change unhelpful patterns of behaviour, communicate clearly and calm anxiety. I work creatively with metaphor and stories, using the best scientific knowledge available. Also working as a professional gardener I am interested in cultivating your inner wildness and unique needs and keeping pernicious weeds such as addictions and unhelpful behaviours at bay.

The human givens approach is a practical, positive forward-focused one, which concentrates on mastery of skills such as anger management and uses imagery and relaxation techniques that you can use in the future to move on in your life, rather than concentrating on, or being stuck in, what went wrong in the past.
