About me

I have been a practising therapist and counsellor for thirty years and have worked as a Human Givens therapist since 2000. I have extensive experience in the education sector, working with students and staff both in state schools and private specialist colleges. My private practice has now been running for 27 years and counting and is now run entirely online

During this time, I have worked with a huge range of people from all walks of life and facing many sorts of issues. What they have in common – and the start point for any successful therapy – is a desire for things to change and a willingness to explore different approaches to achieve this.

My aim is to equip you with the strategies, tools and mindset needed to tackle the problems you’re facing. Each session is tailored to your individual needs and goals, and designed to move you forward, build confidence and hope, and see that change is possible. I use outcome measures to provide evidence of progress.

I am also an accredited Human Givens clinical supervisor, and a qualified Fusion Therapeutic Coach.

I work in accordance with the Human Givens Institute code of ethics for good practice and professional conduct policies. The Human Givens Institute is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority and a member of SCoPEd. I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office for data protection purposes.

If you think you might be interested in working with me, please get in touch by phone or email.

Testimonials

I had a problem with anger for years, but never realised that a large part of the problem was with me. Sue helped me see things from a different perspective and taught me some strategies to help me stay calm which enabled me to keep my family unit together. I dread to think what may have been if I hadn’t taken the steps to have some therapy.

Self-employed, Wiltshire

I have seen several therapists but nothing seemed to change for me, then I met Sue and in the first session I felt seen and heard; almost as if she could read my mind. I suffered with crippling anxiety for years but not any more I am pleased to say, and it would be not too overstated to say that my life has been completely changed.
