I’ve developed my therapy practice based in Tonbridge since 2001. Since then, the practicality, creativity and flexibility of the Human Givens approach has allowed me to work effectively with all kinds of concerns, all sorts of people and all ages, including young children and teenagers. A broad life experience that included being a teacher, a musician, an antique restorer, sign writing, driving trucks and taxis, labouring and more prior to becoming first a storyteller and then a therapist has been extremely useful. In recent times I’ve counselled tricky adolescents on a deprived estate in Medway and worked weekly with military veterans in hostel accommodation in addition to the private work with all from millionaires to mechanics. I have a particular interest in the role of imagination in both the creation and the cure of some problems, have been a professional teller of tales working nationally and internationally since 1984, have published on stories and how they can help people and have run story courses with many professionals including therapists. My practice is centrally located in Tonbridge within easy walking distance of the town centre and station. It has ample parking nearby and is on the main bus routes. I will travel to see clients with mobility difficulties when practicable and will see a limited number of clients on low income at special rates.
