Taking on new supervisees

About me

I believe good supervision should feel supportive, thoughtful and genuinely collaborative – a space where you can reflect openly, develop confidence in your work and feel supported both professionally and personally as a therapist.

I work with both trainee and qualified Human Givens practitioners, offering supervision tailored to your level of experience, your way of working and the needs of the clients you support. For newer therapists, supervision may include more guidance, structure and mentoring to help you build confidence and strengthen your understanding of the Human Givens approach. For more experienced practitioners, supervision becomes a reflective, collegial space to explore complexity, ethical considerations and creative ways of working with more challenging presentations.

I am the Founder, CEO and Clinical Lead of Nurture the Borders, a specialist perinatal and infant mental health charity, where I have supervised practitioners and counsellors for over 10 years. Alongside leading the organisation, I provide clinical supervision, specialist therapy and professional training, supporting both developing and experienced practitioners working across a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties.

My clinical background includes extensive experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, attachment difficulties, domestic abuse, neurodiversity, loss and complex life experiences, alongside specialist expertise in perinatal and infant mental health. Prior to founding Nurture the Borders, I worked across the NHS, local authority and third sector, leading and contributing to services supporting marginalised and vulnerable communities. I have also delivered professional training for over 20 years across health, education and community settings, which strongly informs my supportive and developmental approach to supervision.

My aim is to create a supervision space where you feel safe to think openly, explore challenges honestly, develop your strengths and continue growing into the therapist you want to become. I value warmth, curiosity, authenticity and good humour in the supervisory relationship, and I believe supervision works best when it feels both professionally robust and genuinely human.

I’m always happy to arrange an informal initial conversation so we can explore whether working together feels like a good fit.
