I initially trained and qualified as a Counsellor in Psychodynamic and Humanistic and CBT. After doing just one course with Human Givens I saw and realised how effective this method was.

I provide human givens psychotherapy at Suffolk Mind in central Ipswich on Friday mornings. I am available for a limited number of online clients outside of these hours.

Some of us were never taught the skills we needed to manage our mental health when events, no matter how small or insignificant they feel, or how large and overwhelming they are, occur.

I have more than 20 years’ experience with a variety of people in a wide range of environments, these include Education, Community, Youth Justice and Mental Health Services.

At the core of the Human Givens approach to therapy lies the understanding that: 'it is what's right with you that will fix what's wrong'.

I run face-to-face sessions in Yorkshire including in Leeds, York, Hull and Bridlington. I run online sessions wherever you are in the world. 

I have a deep understanding about mental health and wellbeing, and experience of working with people in tnany different situations in their lives. Clients feed back that I am calm, warm and approachable - that they feel accepted and comfortable being themselves. The approach aims to help people to overcome problems that might at first feel overwhelming, breaking down complex issues into practical, manageable steps. My goal is to build hope, motivation and a clear focus to achieve the positive changes that matter to you.
