I have over 15 years of experience as a psychotherapist, counsellor and coach, working in both the corporate world and in private practice. My support is practical, with the aim of helping you overcome the things that are holding you back in life and getting you to where you need to be in as few sessions as possible. When I first came across Human Givens Therapy I was captivated: the combination of methods including cognitive behavioural therapy, solution focused brief therapy, guided visualisation and problem solving is powerful. So, I won’t be asking you endless questions about your past or dwell on unhappy memories and feelings; together we will focus on the future and you will always remain in control of the information you provide. My private practice is easily accessible, situated in the heart of Exeter with off-street parking. I take self-referrals as well as referrals from organisations.
Having spent 18 years as a BBC presenter on national TV and radio, I now incorporate my experience as a communication skills consultant, a job that has taken me all over the world. I am dedicated to helping individuals who find public speaking a nerve-wracking event, and organisations seeking to improve their communication both internally and externally. I also support people who are coping with large amounts of stress in the workplace, and who may need strategies to deal with difficult conversations.
