I have been a secondary school teacher since 2003 and in recent years have become acutely aware of the increase in mental health issues for young people.

I was lucky enough to come across the human givens organising ideas back in 2004 and, from the start, was aware of the huge significance of these deep psychological insights.

With over 20 years practice as a midwife, birth trauma therapist and IVF Counsellor, I am passionate about giving effective help to women and men experiencing anxiety and grief from infertility, pregnancy loss and birth-related trauma.

NHS referrals and private clients are accepted.

I help adults and children (5-18 year olds) overcome challenging life circumstances so they can experience triumph from tragedy and feel empowered by their journey. 

My own journey to finding a healthy lifestyle has given me insight into the many challenges one encounters. This enables me to bring a high level of empathy, respect, and understanding.

I am a fully qualified Human Givens Therapist working with adults in the counselling practice at Suffolk Mind in Bury St Edmonds.

As I live in the USA my clincial qualification as a Human Givens Practitioner is not recognised due to State law so I incorporate Human Givens principles and practice into a coaching approach to growth and wellness.

I work face-to-face and remotely via Zoom. 

Penny has a specialist interest in the management and treatment of post traumatic stress, specifically relating to exposure in the workplace.
